It's HURRAH! week! Here’s your guide to what’s happening April 15-21: 

Schools: The Board of Education meets Monday at 6pm in the Middle School Library (Learning Commons). And HURRAH! the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation’s fundraiser of the year, is on Wege Plaza Saturday from 7-11pm. Tickets are sold out, but you can join the waiting list at egrsf.org/events/hurrah.html.
High School: Juniors take the MSTEP Science exam Monday and the Social Studies exam Tuesday. The Academic Boosters meet Monday at 6:30pm in the Library (Learning Commons) Conference Room. And the Music Boosters meet Wednesday at 5:30pm in the Library (Learning Commons) Conference Room.
Middle School: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are Day 1. Tuesday and Thursday are Day 2. Some 8th graders take the PSAT Wednesday. And Kona Ice treats are available for $5 Friday during lunch.
Breton Downs: Variety Show signups are due Tuesday. The Variety Show First Look Rehearsal is Thursday at 3:30pm. The Rubik’s Cube Club meets Thursday at 3:30pm too. Variety Show video performances are due Friday. And 4th graders attend Junior Achievement Biz Town Friday, thanks to a grant from the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation.
Lakeside: Nothing special on the calendar, just educating your kids.
Wealthy: The Scholastic Book Fair is before and after school Monday through Thursday, culminating with a Food Truck Extravaganza Thursday from 4-7pm.

City: On Tuesday, award-winning photographer Steve Jessmore presents "Birds of Reeds Lake" at 6:30pm in the Community Center. And HURRAH!, the East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation’s fundraiser of the year, is on Wege Plaza behind the Community Center Saturday from 7-11pm. Tickets are sold out, but you can join the waiting list at egrsf.org/events/hurrah.html. It’s the birthday party you always wanted, celebrating 40 years of the Foundation’s support for our schools.
